Vector art files are the preferred format for our use.
To expedite our process, it's essential to receive artwork in the appropriate format.
For digitally printed flags, Australian Flag Makers prefers artwork developed in Adobe Illustrator, saved as either AI or EPS vector files.
We are able to work with the following file formats: JPEG, PDF, Bitmap, and files from Illustrator version 8.0 or newer (AI or EPS) as well as Photoshop version 5.0 or above.
Please avoid submitting TIFF files.
Understanding Vector Images:
Vector images, especially those crafted in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), are preferred due to their scalability and resolution independence. Unlike raster images, vector graphics can be resized without losing clarity, ensuring crisp lines and sharp details on both screens and prints. Fonts, too, are considered vector objects for their adjustable qualities.
For screen-printed flags, each color requires its own film cut, which necessitates vector images for their line-based drawings that guide the cutting process.
Digital printing, on the other hand, allows us to use your file directly without the need for film cuts.
If your design is complex and not in vector format, send it to us anyway. We offer a complimentary service to convert intricate designs into vector format, ensuring your artwork is print-ready.
For Photographic Images:
Please ensure images are high resolution (300dpi), scaled down to 25% of your desired flag size. Due to their large file size, these images cannot be sent via email. Instead, utilize our free upload server to send files up to 1GB.
